Early 20th-century patinated bronze statue of the Goddess Tara, a revered symbol of strength and protection in Buddhism. This piece is from the Traveling Man Treasures Curiosity Vault.

The goddess is depicted in a tribhanga posture, with detailed hand-chased chignon, jeweled earrings and necklace. She wears a short clinging garment with floral decoration and holds an open lotus in her left hand, standing on a lotus base. Her right hand is extended in katakamukha mudra.
